  • LMFTs are the credentials of a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. MFTs have graduate training in marriage and family therapy and at least two years of clinical experience.

Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs) are mental health professional trained in psychotherapy and family systems, and licensed to diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage, couples and family systems. MFTs do not consider problems to be isolated to each individual. We take into account the fact that individual concerns affect the relationship/family and that relationship/family concerns affect each individual member. It is our goal to look at the whole picture in order to provide clients with the most comprehensive therapeutic services available and best possible outcomes.

Rather than taking the side of one individual in a couple or family system, MFTs see the perspectives and goals of each member as equally valid and valuable and stay neutral in the therapy room.
